(Pre- Write) What do you know about the spread of disease in the global community?

What I know about the spread of disease is one way of the that rapid spread of diseases is by transportation. The way in which a disease is carried out to other parts of the world is by the way of people carrying disease to and from foreign places back to their original country. Take AIDS for example, it was started in Africa and then with travelers and tourist going to Africa they contract the disease and brought it over to their country. Little by little generating the disease one person at a time. As far as anything else goes I have to say that I am not very informed about the way in which disease occurs. Is there only one way disease is spread throughout the world? What places in the world is disease a major crisis? How peoples lives have to been impacted by the spread of disease. I have many questions in store about the spread of disease that I hope to get answered when learning about the spread of disease in class, and also by doing outside class research for our assignment number three. Is culture a factor in certain diseases a person is more prone to contracting? What are the top five global diseases that we are battling with today? How can people like me help people in far away places, like India and China? How can I help America? What are disease that America is having to deal with?

What disease are we here in America trying to fight? What i will build on is the definition of a pandemic- an infectious disease that spreads at a rapid rate targeting large amounts of people and countries concurrently. I want to learn about the services that are provided in America and around the world.
