In my opinion globalization both enriches and threatens identities of less powerful countries. America is seen to be a "Lexus ad", and when viewed on television in areas of the world where poverty is high; this perfect image puts down people who don't have whats seen on television, wealth and extravagance. The wrongful stereotypical image by the media of how countries and ethnic groups are portrayed is what threatens the identities of countries.
Globalization is seen to be a positive and informative thing as well. For example, letting the world, especially women who are house wives, grasp and gain knowledge on the world, which can't be taken away only built. Women would have the knowledge of overall health and proper up dates of living styles, education for children, all important information that is useful. The right to have information like the internet and technology is a key source to being informed yet it's the approach of globalization that consistently keep low countries in the same situation they were in, a less intrigued group of people who aim at not developing because of fear in change.
Spending money on technology is important but 200,000 dollars of computer and technology equipment can be used in a much more needed area, like on the people specifically. For example, livable homes and health care. Once housing is adequate enough to live in and health care is under control then there can come a vast change in development. Common rights are rights that we as humans deserve, homes and food, have to be met off the top. Later further additions such as, internet and speaker phones can be a priority. People in powerless countries need to be taken care of first because they are the less fortunate and attending to their problems is the first step to solving them and pushing them to move forth.
